Twi-mom (but my children say I should never, ever use that word); mother of two - 19 y/o daughter and 16 y/o son; married 21 years; "normal" job in management; very boring actually...
I hate reading. Or at least I did until my daughter INSISTED that I read the Twilight Sagas. Then I just kept reading them over and over again. Then I found "fan fiction" and now I'm obsessed; truly - very, very obsessed.
I only like Edward/Bella love stories. I don't really care if they are human only or vampire/human. I thought I only liked angsty ones but have decided I like funny ones and smutty ones too; I'm not too picky.
My home life now equates to one described by "wantmywifeback". Read his profile (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2106474/wantmywifeback) and you'll understand. I told him that he should start a support group for husbands but his reply was probably 100 percent accurate:
"I've had a lot of folks suggest that I start a support group, but what people say and what I hear are two different things. What I hear is 'get a group together so I can set up play-dates for my husband.' " You should check out his stories... They are a quick & easy read and you'll be laughing for days! They may even make you feel slightly sorry for your husband (or boyfriend or significant other) and take pity on them! LMFAO!
Yes, I've also found this online alter-ego of mine (the one that is obsessed with Twilight, fan fiction & Rob Pattinson) allows me an opportunity to express my 'wild' side. In this alter-ego I curse like a MF, find smut enjoyable & can imagine Rob's face in pretty much every one of those 'Edward' stories (but of course, for some reason, Bella looks like 'me' - or maybe I look like her??), and I just bought me a pair of 5" stilletos! Hell, my daughter asked me if I was having a mid-life crisis when I bought them... maybe I am and really, WHAT THE FUCK IF I AM!

New...
Okay, I'm relatively new to this site but have been obsessed with Twilight fan fics for about 2 months. Following are some of my favorites that I've read (it's a very long list). They are broken down into Humane only and Human/Vampire ones. I only like E/B stories (or R/K ones).
Note: I tend to like very angsty ones (with happy endings, of course) or raw, sexy, lusty mature ones with lots of “lemons” (like the kind I wouldn’t give my 19 y/o daughter to read – not because she wouldn’t, but because I’m her Mom and that would just be ‘wrong’.) By the way, “angsty” is my new favorite word. That and “fuckawesome”.
* The story has been completed. Otherwise, it’s a WIP.
HUMAN ONLY FAN FICS:
Emancipation Proclamation – (This is one of my very favorites because it is so intense and very ORIGINAL.) The Cullens are into organizational crime – No Esme (at least not as Carlisle’s wife), just Dr. Cullen and the 3 boys; Bella is a “slave” (and yes, it is set in the current century). Allow yourself to get through the first couple of chapters and it is by far the BEST ff I’ve read; very “angsty”. Tissues required, wine helps but also be prepared to smile and laugh a lot! Just when you think you’ll get a reprieve, Khar throws something even more dramatic at you. The amount of love (between several characters, actually) goes beyond all reason – unless of course you were ever put in such a situation as all of these face. I too would be willing to die for my love (family) “in a fucking heartbeat”!

You’ll need tissues for sad parts, tissues for really romantic parts and tissues for happy parts. Lots and lots of tissues; I get teary-eyed just thinking about parts of it. Esme and Carlisle have two boys – Emmett & Edward, and they took Bella in when she was little after Renee died. Emmett has now married Rose and Edward & Bella haven’t seen each other in 6 years (and Bella’s engaged to be married to Michael) – they are all reuniting at the Cullen family mansion for the last few weeks before Esme’s expected demise to terminal cancer. Seriously, this one is “fuckawesome” (IMO anyway)! Currently on chapter 17.

*Wide Awake – Bella and Edward find comfort in each other as next door neighbors both experiencing PTSS. There is so much angst, love and passion in this story. Everyone should read it! It’s about 2 people learning the difference between needing someone and loving someone. And near the end there’s a chapter defining affection vs intimacy – very well done. I loved the final written words on this one so much that I actually use them on my signature page on Twilighted.net forums.
