Okay, I'm relatively new to this site but have been obsessed with Twilight fan fics for about 2 months. Following are some of my favorites that I've read (it's a very long list). They are broken down into Humane only and Human/Vampire ones. I only like E/B stories (or R/K ones).

Note: I tend to like very angsty ones (with happy endings, of course) or raw, sexy, lusty mature ones with lots of “lemons” (like the kind I wouldn’t give my 19 y/o daughter to read – not because she wouldn’t, but because I’m her Mom and that would just be ‘wrong’.) By the way, “angsty” is my new favorite word. That and “fuckawesome”.

* The story has been completed. Otherwise, it’s a WIP.

HUMAN ONLY FAN FICS:

Emancipation Proclamation – (This is one of my very favorites because it is so intense and very ORIGINAL.) The Cullens are into organizational crime – No Esme (at least not as Carlisle’s wife), just Dr. Cullen and the 3 boys; Bella is a “slave” (and yes, it is set in the current century). Allow yourself to get through the first couple of chapters and it is by far the BEST ff I’ve read; very “angsty”. Tissues required, wine helps but also be prepared to smile and laugh a lot! Just when you think you’ll get a reprieve, Khar throws something even more dramatic at you. The amount of love (between several characters, actually) goes beyond all reason – unless of course you were ever put in such a situation as all of these face. I too would be willing to die for my love (family) “in a fucking heartbeat”!

The Blessing and the Curse – WOW! This one jumped to the top of my list to tie with EP. This one covers the full spectrum of emotions. You’ll need tissues for sad parts, tissues for really romantic parts and tissues for happy parts. Lots and lots of tissues; I get teary-eyed just thinking about parts of it. Esme and Carlisle have two boys – Emmett & Edward, and they took Bella in when she was little after Renee died. Emmett has now married Rose and Edward & Bella haven’t seen each other in 6 years (and Bella’s engaged to be married to Michael) – they are all reuniting at the Cullen family mansion for the last few weeks before Esme’s expected demise to terminal cancer. Seriously, this one is “fuckawesome” (IMO anyway)! Currently on chapter 17.

*Wide Awake – Bella and Edward find comfort in each other as next door neighbors both experiencing PTSS. There is so much angst, love and passion in this story. Everyone should read it! It’s about 2 people learning the difference between needing someone and loving someone. And near the end there’s a chapter defining affection vs intimacy – very well done. I loved the final written words on this one so much that I actually use them on my signature page on Twilighted.net forums.

The Naked Guy Upstairs – Bella (Sr at Harvard) moves into her 1st apartment alone (w/o Alice & Rose). Edward (new doc finishing his residency and as always, quite the ‘ladies man’). So far, I LOVE this story. This one is romance/humor so I’m not anticipating any angst. (Although, I have a feeling some may be coming up soon.)

Clipped Wings and Inked Armor – Tattoo artist Edward and bookstore clerk/student Bella. Tragedy in their pasts, what will the future bring? These are some seriously messed up kids. I am NOT into piercings or tattoos, but I have to agree, “Tattward” is F**KING HOT.

*Breaking the Silence – Similar to Wide Awake. This is a very emotional story about pain and loss and how the things one does can impact many. It’s also about unconditional love. This one is up for a Mystic Award against EP and Wide Awake for the “hurt” fan fic. This one is not about the “lemons” – there were only 3 and they were ‘very mild’. It’s mostly about Bella learning to overcome her fears (since her tragedy) and learning to live again.

*The Red Line – Lots of emotional highs and lows… Grad student Bella meets stripper Edward and hires him to be the subject of her thesis. This one has everything from sex slaves to tragedy to love and mystery. Every chapter keeps you guessing and nothing is what is appears (well, except for Edward & Bella – they are as always, true to each other).
